ACEC Canada announces new 2014-15 board of directors

The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) announced its board of directors for 2014-15 on June 20 at its annual general meeting, held in conjunction with the organization's Leadership Summit 2014 conference in Winnipeg, Man.

The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) announced its board of directors for 2014-15 on June 20 at its annual general meeting, held in conjunction with the organization's Leadership Summit 2014 conference in Winnipeg, Man.

Anne Poschmann of Golder Associates Ltd. formally took the position of chair, taking over from Jason Mewis of ENGCOMP Engineering and Computing Professionals Inc. Poschmann is the first female chair in the history of the ACEC.

Perry Mitchelmore of MECO is the chair-elect.

David Kozak from Genivar is the vice-chair for New Brunswick as well as treasurer.

The other vice-chairs are Jody MacLeod of CBCL (Prince Edward Island), Steve Fleck from Stantec Consulting Ltd. (British Columba), and Paul Ruffell of Tetra Tech EBA Inc. (Alberta).

Chris Newcombe from McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. has joined the board as a director from British Columbia.

The other directors are John Clark from Williams Engineering Canada Inc. (Northwest Territories), Gord Jhonston, from Stantec Consulting Ltd. (Alberta), Todd Smith (Manitoba) and Shawn Gibbons (Ontario), both from AECOM, Bill De Angelis from Associated Engineering (Ontario.), and Rick Tiller of Tiller Engineering Inc. (Newfoundland).

The directors from Quebec are Luciano Piciacchaia from AMEC, Robert Landry from SNC-Lavalin Inc., and Simon Davidson from Roche Ltee, Group-conseil.
