This year's Canadian Construction Association (CCA) conference will offer attendees a unique opportunity to learn, network and enjoy new experiences with colleagues from across Canada.
This year's conference will be held March 22 – 26 in San Antonio, Tex.
"As our conference theme New Frontier – New Opportunities suggests, the Canadian construction industry is facing a new frontier of growth and opportunity," said Anibal Valente, the CCA's incoming chair. This year's program has 21 business and general information sessions.
The opening keynote speech will be delivered by Jeremy Gutsche, CEO of Trend Hunter and an innovation expert who will motivate his audience to capture new business opportunities and to stay ahead of the pack.
The annual CCA awards will also be presented at the conference to recognize the important contributions of individuals, organizations and projects that promote and enhance the industry.
This year's awards keynote speaker is Dr. Kimberley Amirault-Ryan, the lead of sport psychology for the Canadian Olympic Committee.
Maclean Magazine's senior columnist Paul Wells' will give a session on political trends. Other notable sessions include a global economic situation and outlook by EDC's Peter Hall and a construction industry forecast by CMD Group's Mark Casaletto and BuildForce Canada's Rosemary Sparks.
The conference schedule includes a golf tournament, a games night, a rodeo night with a Texas cookout, a visit to SeaWorld and a cabaret night to end the conference.
"Many attendees take their families with them, so we always offer activities for spouses and children as well," said Michael Atkinson, the CCA's president.
