The Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of B.C. is holding its inaugural Industry Outlook Seminar April 23 at the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre in Burnaby, B.C.
According to the ICBA, the event will bring together key experts from industries that drive B.C.'s diverse economy for a panel discussion. The leaders will provide overviews of their sector for the year ahead as well as details about what to expect in 2016.
"Their unique and informed province-wide perspective on capital expenditure will allow you to take advantage and plan for opportunities arising this year and next," read a release from the ICBA. "For many of British Columbia's industries, 2015 is projected to be a landmark year for balanced, steady growth, seizing new opportunities to grow our economy and building prosperity for our province."
Panelists include: Ken Peacock, chief economist and vice president Business Council of British Columbia; Karina Briño, president Mining Association of BC; Geoff Morrison, manager BC Operations Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers; David Keane, president LNG Alliance; Cliff Stewart, vice president, Infrastructure, Port Metro Vancouver; Bill Earis, general manager, Generation Construction & Contract Management, BC Hydro; Michael Ferreira, managing principal, Urban Analytics Inc.
The event will also feature remarks from ICBA president Philip Hochstein.
