VANCOUVER - The Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) is going global and local for its third annual Industry Outlook.
CNN chief national correspondent and anchor of Inside Politics John King is the keynote speaker at the event and is expected to give a wide-reaching talk on the effects of the first 100 days of the Donald Trump presidency on Canada, the United States and the world.
Rennie Group founder Bob Rennie will also speak at the event, with a look at the challenges and opportunities of affordability, density and urban planning in Vancouver.
A panel discussion will also be held at the event titled B.C.'s Economy – What's Ahead and Where is the Work? The featured speakers for the panel are Woodfibre LNG vice-president and country manager Bing Giraud, Port of Vancouver president and CEO Robin Silvester and Council of Forest Industries president and CEO Susan Yurkovich.
The outlook will take place May 2 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Vancouver, with registration and breakfast at 7:15 a.m. and speakers starting at 8 a.m. Registration for the event is available here.
