VIDEO: ICBA president Philip Hochstein
Independent Contractor's and Businesses Association president Philip Hochstein spoke to the Journal of Commerce at the association's recent 41st annual general meeting and dinner.
Hochstein gave his take on the recent announcement by the province of British Columbia and the federal government's announcement of conditional approval of the Pacific Northwest LNG (liquefied natural gas) project. He also spoke about recent moves by the federal government to impose a minimum carbon tax if action is not taken by the provinces.
Hochstein also looked at the recent regulatory changes aimed at cooling Vancouver's white-hot housing market, and reflected on the past year for the ICBA and what the association has planned in the near future.
