VIDEO: Cameron Muir at CanaData West
Cameron Muir, the chief economist with the British Columbia Real Estate Association, spoke to a crowd of economic movers and shakers at the CanaData West conference held recently in downtown Vancouver.
Muir also spoke to the Journal of Commerce about some common misconceptions about the Lower Mainland housing market, including the media's focus on expensive homes when most homes sold are valued under $1 million, and that "foreign buyers" was in his opinion a loaded and somewhat dangerous term. Muir also pointed to low interest rates as one of the keys to the continued health of the Lower Mainland housing market.
