On October 22 CMD will bring together business leaders and analysts from British Columbia and beyond for the Second Annual CanaData Construction Industry Forecast Conference. Over a half-day topics as diverse as resources, economics, real estate and B.C.'s place in the world economy will be covered.
Ken Peacock, the chief economist and vice president of the Business Council of British Columbia will give an overview of B.C.'s current economic outlook, while Cliff Stewart, the vice president of infrastructure for Port Metro Vancouver will look at the role of B.C. ports in trade with the Pacific Rim. Cameron Muir, the chief economist for the British Columbia Real Estate Association, will look at diverse subjects such as rising house prices in the Lower Mainland and foreign ownership, and CMD's own chief economist, Alex Carrick, will give an overview of the economic health of the construction industry. The lunch keynote is by business analyst, broadcaster and author Michael Campbell.
