Paragon Development and Marriot International have announced the international hotel chain will operate two proposed hotels at the proposed casino site next to Vancouver's BC Place, should Vancouver City Council approve of the development.

The two hotels will have a combined 600 rooms and the casino will contain 1,500 slot machines and 150 tables. Paragon Development has offered to reduce the number of slot machines, though this will delay construction.

The $500 million casino project has been the subject of extensive public hearings, with Vancouver City Council set to announce its decision on the application on April 19.
