The Association of Consulting Engineers of Manitoba has given the Winnipeg Water Treatment Plant project the Keystone Award, the ACEM's recognition of the best overall project of the year which represents excellence in engineering in Manitoba.
The project also won the Award of Excellence in the Municipal and Water Technology category. The plant cost $300 million and was commissioned on schedule in December of 2009. It is designed for sustainability, high performance and further expansion.
