In this week's preview, we look at some of the stories we'll be covering in the Journal of Commerce for the week of July 21st, 2014.

A B.C. government report is urging an overhaul of WorkSafeBC investigation methods. The report was requested after two separate mill explosions, one in Prince George and the other in Burns Lake, B.C.

Staff writer Russell Hixson has a story about the historic Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C., which will soon undergo $30 million of renovations.

Daily Commercial News staff writer Kelly LaPointe has a story about industry stakeholders looking at European apprenticeship models, and we also have an article about discussion of a free trade zone between Canadian provinces.
