The City of Thompson is planning a new water treatment plantto serve the Thompson Regional Airport and future growth in the north side of the city.

The Thompson Regional Airport Authority is planning a new water treatment plantto serve the Thompson Regional Airport and future growth in the north side of the city.

The preliminary construction budget for the project is approximately $10 million.

Stantec Consulting Ltd is conducting a feasibility study. The purpose of the study is to determine the location, current size requirements and future growth of a new water treatment plant and associated infrastructure. The study should be completed early in 2009 and is expected to be under review for approximately three months.
