Construction crews and heavy equipment are building a berm across a washed out 498 Avenue, west of the Highway 2 overpass, in flood-ravaged High River, Alberta.
The southern Alberta community was hit hard by rising water levels and flooding from the Highwood River starting on June 20.
Much of the town was still underwater on June 24.
The community remains in a State of Local Emergency and a mandatory evacuation order is still in place.
The town is located about 37 kilometres south of Calgary.
