A glass contractor has died after falling at a worksite in Surrey, B.C.

According to WorkSafeBC spokesperson Trish Knight Chernecki, investigators received a call from Surrey RCMP at 3:55 p.m. on April 12 that a worker had fallen and was seriously injured. The worker was airlifted to Royal Columbia Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The worker's employer is Craftsman Glass Inc.

Chernecki added that WorkSafeBC officers have been to the site at 3162 137A Street in Surrey and are investigating the incident concurrently with the RCMP.

According to Craftsman's website, the company supplies and installs residential glazing including mirrors, shower doors and interior and exterior glass railings.
