Driver who hit city truck f ined
Saskatoon, Sask.- A driver has been fined $3,000 after hitting a City of Saskatoon crew truck conducting roadwork.
Following a guilty plea in provincial court, the accused was sentenced March 29. The incident happened when city workers were painting crosswalks along College Drive last September. One worker had just stepped out of the truck to set up the work zone when he heard a loud vehicle approaching. The worker was able to jump to the side before the pickup collided with the city's half-ton vehicle.
