Stantec unveils planned 62-storey tower for downtown Edmonton

Stantec and Edmonton Arena District, a development joint venture between Katz Group and WAM Development Group, have released the planned design of a 62-storey building on the corner of 102 Street and 103 Avenue in Edmonton, Alta.

The building will be the tallest tower in Edmonton.

Stantec is providing full architecture and engineering services for the tower, as well as acting as its anchor tenant. The company will be leasing 450,000 of the 600,000 square feet of commercial space.

The building will be made up of 26 floors of office space and 320 residential suites. Stantec is targeting LEED Gold certification for the structure.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall with completion by summer 2018.
