VIDEO: Brenda Kenny of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association
Brenda Kenny, the president and CEO of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, spoke to the Journal of Commerce at a recent liquefied natural gas (LNG) conference about the LNG industry in British Columbia.
Kenny spoke to the new technology now available to the industry which has radically improved the ability to monitor pipelines on a real-time basis.
She also discussed the need to rely not only on technology when creating a safety culture but also to focus on "soft" skills. Kenny also addressed the needed to involve First Nations in construction, maintenance and interaction with pipelines, many of which are on First Nations land.
