PARKS PROPOSALS

B.C. Parks is currently assessing proposals for new fixed-roof accommodation in provincial parks, to determine if they meet the strict criteria established by the ministry earlier this year. The criteria ensures any new facility complements overall park conservation and recreation values. If a proposal is selected, it will follow a process that may lead to the issuance of a park-use permit. To date proposals have been received for Mount Robson, Elk Lakes and Maxhamish Lake provincial parks.
