Concrete barriers to improve safety

About 1.4 kilometres of concrete media barrier will be installed on the Malahat section of Highway 1 on Vancouver Island, starting July 9. The concrete barrier will be installed north of Finlayson Arm Road.

It will cost about $250,000 and is part of an $8 million program by the Government of B.C. to install additional concrete barriers and other safety features on the Malahat.
