Emergency Response Station in Calgary, Alberta

The skeletal steel frame of a new Emergency Response Station is taking shape in Seton, a community in southeast Calgary, Alberta.
The new structure will house the Calgary Police Service, animal and bylaw services, community and neighbourhood services, as well as a new fire hall. The centre will be built to achieve LEED gold certification. Gibbs Gage is the project architect.
Ledcor Construction Ltd. is the general contractor and Northern Electric Canada Ltd., Cousins Concrete and Construction Inc., are subcontractors. Consultants include Jubilee Engineering Consultant Ltd. (civil), Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (structural), SMP Consulting Electrical Engineers.
The project will cost $19 million and is slated to open in 2013.
