| Project: | The container examination facility proposed sites include the south shore of Burrard Inlet (to service Centerm & Vanterm terminals) and a site on Tsawwassen First Nations land (to service Deltaport, future expansion plans at Roberts Bank & Fraser Surrey Dock). The sites may contain: eight-ten acres in size, to accommodate 70-100 containers for storage, 15 ventilation bays, a warehouse facility between 3,900-4,200 sq m, an office area of 1,650-2,000 sq m, a large scale imaging structure with an area requirement of 800 sq m & parking for a mobile x-ray machine of approx 200 sq m. The CEF sites will require a location that has a high level of security, good road access to/from Centerm & Vanterm, & good connectivity to the Greater Vancouver highway system. The proposed bldg design should consider supplementary leaseable space for additional tenants that may include the RCMP & Vancouver Police Dept (VPD). |
