INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for each Group (must be submitted in separate envelopes) will be received by the undersigned no later than:
• Closing date: 14:00:00 (2:00:00 pm) local time Wednesday, March, 29, 2017
Group 1–Exterior Re-Painting Bid No. 17-166-006
Hillcrest Elementary, Adams Road Elementary, Clayton Heights Secondary, Hazelgrove Elementary
• Closing date: 14:00:00 (2:00:00 pm) local time Thursday, March 30, 2017
Group 2–Exterior Re-Painting Bid No. 17-166-007
Fraser Heights Secondary, Holly Elementary, Cedar Hills Elementary, East Kensington Elementary
A Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting for all 2 Groups will be held at the District Facilities Centre, 6700 – 144 Street, Surrey on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Bid documents will be handed out to the contractors at that time for all 2 Groups.
Mandatory Site Visits for all 2 Groups will be held on the following dates:
• Group 1 will be conducted immediately after the Pre-bid Meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the entrance of Hillcrest Elementary located at 18599 65 Avenue. (Allow 6 hours, including the pre-bid meeting)
• Group 2 will be conducted on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the entrance of of Fraser Heights Secondary located at 16060 108 Avenue. (Allow 3 hours)
During these site visits all Contractors are required to confirm existing site and building(s) conditions. Bids will not be accepted by Contractors who do not attend the scheduled Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting and Mandatory Site Visit for that particular Group.
Each bid must be accompanied by a duly executed Bid Bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total amount of bid and Consent of Surety by the surety company providing the 50% Labour and Material Bond and 50% Performance Bond. The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted. School District No. 36 (Surrey) reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
